Love the boy who laughs at your puns... the boy who finds them 'punny' who makes up his own.  Love the boy who laughs at your puns...

Love the boy who… is strong

Love the boy who is strong.  The boy who is strong in both strength and character.  The boy who finds happiness from the strength required to take care of everyone in his life but who isn’t defined by the act, by them in return.  The boy who stands tall by your side, loving and protecting you, who knows when words of advice or encouragement are needed or when  a comforting silent shoulder is the answer.  The boy who puts you first.

Love the boy who has the strength to provide direction for you both – make the bold decisions or to compromise when the time is right.  Always striving for the best for you both – to be the best for both of you – together.  The boy who can stand up to you when you need to be grounded – pulled back to earth when you get off course – when you can’t stop pushing in spite of yourself, intent on getting a reaction.  Love the boy who has the strength to shut you down without arguing – fully understanding that the pain and hurt go far beyond what your words reveal.  Love the boy with the strength to take care of you even through his anger knowing that you are on this journey together – with all the bumps in the road.  Love the boy strong enough to see through your insecurities that sometimes arise for the most ridiculous of reasons – know that they are only a small part of who you are – that you only need the smallest of reassurances from him to get through the other side.

Love the boy who is strong enough to face his fears too – hand in hand with you – to provide the pillar of support in the face of adversity – leaning on each other.  The boy who knows true strength shines through when he is safe in your arms, releasing his pain through watering eyes – letting you comfort him fully, trusts in you, shares his secrets, his fears.  Love the boy who is strong enough to let go.  Love the boy who is strong.

Love the boy who... knows how to drive

Love the boy who knows how to drive.  The boy who doesn’t just own a car to commute but can explain how to corner, how maneuver, how to drive.  The boy who knows when to go fast and when to slow down.  Who you feel safe enough to fall asleep beside as he takes you home late at night confident your life is safe in his hands.  The boy who will follow you home in the darkness just to be sure you are safe.  The boy who tells you to be more aggressive on your motorcycle even while wanting to flatten the white van that almost took you out.  The boy who encourages you to talk driving with his father – endless stories of breaking onto the track, skills honed at odd hours.  Passion in his voice.  Love the boy who borrows his dad’s lotus even though your story had ended – still showing off – letting you feel the beauty, the glide, the power that rumbles between your legs, driving you more than just down the street.  Crazy.  Love the boy who knows how to drive.

Love the boy who… shows off

Love the boy who shows off.  Not in an ego driven way but rather a boy who is proud of his abilities.  The boy who will sit in a coffee shop weeks after you’ve broken up and tell you all about his job – the change, the growth, the successes – with pride in his eyes.  His excitement over more progress, more sales, and yes, even more money.  Be proud of him – though you always were – show him this all over again, understanding now how he values himself in this, in what he does – his ability to provide.

Love the boy who in many ways is validated by his achievements, of being on top – satisfaction and dignity entwined.  Realize that though it doesn’t matter to you – you have always loved him just as he is – it matters to him.  The boy who found himself feeling inferior to your career, your place in life – defined, figured out – that though you are not bothered, don't notice they are differences that stand out to him – his needs versus yours.

Be thrilled for him.  The boy who always strives to make his father proud, a lifelong struggle – his father too busy to notice, to look his way.  A constant chase.  Be there for him now, reassuring.  The boy who will work hard to provide while knowing that there is much more to life that just a job.  Acknowledge his progress, his achievement, his chance to shine.  Let him show off in these subtle ways – see the confidence within him build.  Love the boy who shows off.

Love the boy who... doesn't have venus in gemini

Love the boy who doesn't have venus in gemini (or at least understands how it influences him).  His thoughts, his actions.  The boy who fights for the intense passion, rather than letting it simmer down over time into friendship.  Who doesn’t over-analyse the relationship but lives it each and every day without trying, without thinking.  The boy who is charming and flirty but who doesn’t get flighty – who revels in the passion both before being pinned down and still once committed.  The boy who isn’t fickle, unpredictable or lighthearted in love.   The boy who realizes that change and growth do occur within a partnership and that communication saves relationships.  That talking through feelings of uncertainty and drifting thoughts is easier than travelling down paths only to have your mind change back again.  That though the grass seems greener on the other side it too changes with the seasons,  and that if you stand still long enough renewal is around every corner.

Love the boy who doesn’t sabotage relationships from the outset who doesn’t bail then ask the questions but is able to stand his ground in the face of the impulsive forces driving his lust.  Love the boy who cherishes your creative  expression in love, the words that you share with him – stimulating his gemini in venus, touching him and impressing him greatly all at once. The boy who can savor the attraction that he finds, is moved by it emotionally.  Who doesn’t change his mind or seek reassurance from his harem of other women.  Love the boy who doesn’t have venus in Gemini (or at least understands how it influences him)
Venus in Gemini - You idealize your attractions. You work yourself into a mental state that is electifying but short lived. You can't maintain a passionate relationship for long--your love affairs have to be continually revitalized by the power of your imagination....You understand love--you can write about it, talk about it with extraordinary insight--but you don't feel love to the depths of its wonderful profundity as ordinary long-suffering and tormented lovers do. You experience a fleeting superficial sensation. At times, you are even intensely jealous. But always it is an attachment of the mind, and it wanes as soon as you know the person sufficiently or a substitute new source of knowledge is available....You love to flirt.  Venus in Gemini people love to have a 'harem' of vivacious and intelligent men or women whom they can visit or call up any hour of the day or night...You entice the opposite sex in an indefinably subtle way with a suggestion of promise, a floating seductiveness, an aura of refined mysterious intimacy that when reached for, just isn't there.  You delight. You disappoint. You delight again. (From Astro Analysis on Taurus: Venus in Gemini)

Love the boy who... plays guitar

Love the boy who plays guitar.  Who plays guitar for you.  Who learns your favorite songs.  The boy who will record a song with you - helping you to learn four little cords on the ukelele - a song to send to your friend overseas who often sends them to you.  A chance for you to return the surprise - love the boy whose idea it is to do this - the one who tells you that your voice sounds great when you dub it over top of the original having been too scared to sing outloud in front of him.  Love the boy who plays guitar and fills your home with beautiful music.  Love the boy who plays guitar.

Love the boy who... who uses your full name

Love the boy who uses your full name.  Or a pet name he has specifically for you.  My Canadian.  Little Otter.  Your Sasquatch.  Batman.  The boy who goes beyond the convention of everyone else.  Who introduces you as your mother would, not like all your friends.  The boy who speaks it out loud.  Often.  The boy who notices, who loves when you use his full name too.  Love the boy that uses your full name.

Love the boy who... is happy

Love the boy who is happy.  The boy who is grateful that you are the one in his arms at the end of the night.  The boy who stands at the bottom of the driveway with his arms wrapped around you as you wave goodbye to his parents after a wonderful evening.  Steaks and sausages and stories of days long gone.  The excitement in his father as he gives voice to the memories made in Melbourne – guitars and dancing.  Flamenco radiating through every uttered word.  The sparkle in his mothers eyes as she watches her husband – transporting them both back to those small stages and magical moments – a bond so deep it still permeates through them after all these years.  Energy so grounded that it fills  the two of you up well after they drive away.  And when you turn in his arms and smile – your heart in his hands – and ask if you can keep him – love him for telling you that he has a ‘no return policy’.  Love the boy that agrees to keep the two of you.  The us.  The boy who is grateful that you are the one in his arms at the end of the night.  Love the boy who is happy.

Love the boy who... makes you laugh

Fall in love with the boy who will make you laugh.  Outrageously and often.  From the depths of your belly or an eye rolling smirk.  For ridiculous over the top reasons or even none at all - out of nowhere.  Or for absurd reasons that only the two of you understand.  And on occasion those inappropriate moments which include obscene gestures (and sometimes small children) repeated over and over and over again.  For the slightly gross (and for some rude) reasons - the loudest and raunchiest garlic prawn beer burp that knocks you on the floor in a cloud of eye watering stench.  Love the boy who giggles randomly or laughs just as hard as his little niece while tickling her on the trampoline.  The boy who gives you that knowing glance when someone at your table acts insane or who shakes his head at you with a sparkle in his eye as you attempt drunken handstands on the street.  Love the boy who makes you laugh just to see your smile.  Love the boy who makes you laugh.
